You can add Quizes, Exams or Surveys to a course.
Students take them while working through your course and the results are viewable in your LessonFlyer admin panel.
For this example we created a new lesson called Section Quiz since a quiz will be the only content in the lesson.
To add a quiz navigate to your lesson and click the + Insert Content button. Then choose the Quiz, Exam or Suvey option from the dropdown menu.
When the form appears select we'll select the Quiz option and we'll leave the Title field blank because the name of our lesson is already Section Quiz.
Click the Add button to continue.
You'll start with an empty quiz. Click the + Add Question button to get started.
When the add question dialog box appears you can choose which type of question you'd like to add.
For this example we'll choose the first type: Radio buttons (multiple choice, choose one answer) which creates a simple multiple choice question where the user chooses a single answer from a few different options.
After selecting a question type click the + Add Question button.
When the Edit Question dialog box appears enter the question and the choices the user will select from.
In this example we also checked the box to specify which answer is the correct answer which is required if you'd like the quiz to have score calculated automatically when submitted by students.
When you're done editing click the Save Changes button.
You'll see a preview of the quiz after saving a question. When you hover over a question, buttons will appear to edit or delete it.
The Edit Question button opens the same dialog shown in the screenshot above where you can make changes and re-save it.
The light grey X icon will open a dialog box asking for confirmation before deleting the question.
Click the Add Question button to add another question.
Add the rest of your questions as described above.
For this example we added a total of 3 questions to our quiz.
Next up: Click the Edit Quiz button and choose Settings from the dropdown menu.
When the Quiz Settings dialog appears you'll see options that control how the student sees or not sees quiz results after submission. There are also submission options that control how many times a quiz can be retaken by a student and whether or not all questions require answers.
Next Up: Hover your mouse over the quiz and click the Edit Quiz button. Choose the Reorder Questions option from the dropdown menu.
When the Reorder Questions dialog appears drag and drop your questions into the desired order and then click Save Changes.
When the Reorder Questions dialog appears drag and drop your questions into the desired order and then click Save Order button.
The screenshot below shows how students see and take this quiz in the lesson viewer on the course's website.
After submitting answers to a quiz, test or suvey students may or may not see immediate feedback depending on how the settings were chosen (as described above).
In this example we chose to score the quiz and show immediate results after submission.
The screenshot below shows what this looks like from the student's point of view.
Students can also view their quiz and test scores (or surveys submissions) from the Scores and Activity screen in the student dashboard.
Course admins and teachers can view student quiz, test and survey results in the LessonFlyer admin panel as shown in the screenshots below.
