How to setup offer codes to change pricing on the course registration page

You can setup offer codes that honor specific pricing when students apply them during course registration. These are sometimes called coupon codes or discount codes and refer to the same feature.

An offer code is similar to an offer link. Both can be used to show alternate pricing on your course website. However, an offer code is 3 to 25 characters of text (letters and/or numbers) that you define and associate with a specific offer. Then, if the code is entered in the course registration form the website will update and display the (typically discounted) price.

Below is an example of how an offer code can be setup to offer a discounted price for your course. Let's say the regular (default) price for your course is $99.95 but you'd like to give your friends and family a discount.

The first step is to create the discounted pricing. To do so, navigate to the Pricing screen for your course and click the + Add Price button.

For this example we created a discounted price of $49.95 which is pointed out in the screenshot below. Notice that the regular price $99.95 is still set as the default which is what we want.

Next, click on the new price you just created (pointed out above) to view the Price Settings screen.

On the Price Settings screen (shown below) you can enter an Offer name. For this example we called it: Friends and family discount. The offer name just helps you identify the price in your LessonFlyer admin panel. It's never shown to students.

Then come up with an offer code and enter it in the Set an offer code field. Then click Save button next to it.

For this example we associated the offer code VIP_OFFER with our discounted price of $49.95.

The screenshot below shows an example of the course registration page just before the offer code was applied. The website is still showing the default price of $99.95 because the VIP_OFFER code has been entered in the field but the apply button hasn't been clicked yet.

After a valid code is entered and the Apply button is clicked the registration page will update to show it's been accepted and display the discounted price.

Please note: The offer code field won't appear on your course registration form unless there are one (or more) active prices with an offer code setup.
