How to connect your bank account or debit card to LessonFlyer

Before you can start selling courses and get paid you need to connect your LessonFlyer account to a bank account or debit card. This is done by completing the steps described below and submitting information to our secure payments partner Stripe.

Then, after a short verification process you'll be approved to charge for access to your courses. The money you earn will be grouped into payouts and sent to your connected bank account or debit card on a rolling schedule.

Sign-in to your LessonFlyer admin panel and navigate to the My Account screen. Then click Connect Bank.

On the Connect Bank Account screen click the + Add Bank Account or Debit Card button.

You'll be redirected to a wizard hosted by Stripe. Follow the steps in the setup wizard and provide the information requested.

We won't show screenshots of all the steps in Stripe's setup wizard because most are self explanatory.

However, when you get to the step called: Professional Details (see screenshot below) you may not have a course website address ready to enter yet (i.e. if you're still building out your course).

In this case, don't worry, just click the link to add a product description instead. Then enter the text "I will be selling online courses through the LessonFlyer platform" (or something similar) in the product description field and continue through the wizard.

When you complete all the steps and get to the final review screen double check your information and make sure it's correct. If you need to make any changes click the small pencil icons.

Click Agree & Submit to send your information to Stripe for review.

After submitting your information to Stripe you'll get redirected back to the LessonFlyer admin panel.

You'll either see that your bank connection is pending review or that it's already been verified. If it's still pending just wait a few hours and revisit the Connect Bank Account screen to check the status. In some cases you may be asked to provide additional information. If so, just follow the instructions and provide any required information or fix any issues.

After your bank connection has been verified and you're approved to begin selling courses you'll see a screen that looks like below.

You may receive an email from Stripe asking you to verify your email address. If you get this email you must click to verify within a certain period of time or your bank connection could be disabled.

After your bank account or debit card connection has been verified you can visit the Course Pricing screen for your course(s) and setup paid access as desired.
