Students can communicate with their teachers or course admins from the Messages screen in the Student Dashboard.
Start a new message thread by clicking the New Conversation button.
The user interface for messages is a hybrid design between traditional email and text messaging. Conversations are grouped together and viewed as a thread. However, there can be multiple separate conversation threads with the same teacher or course admin.
An email notification is sent to the student when a teacher sends or replies. The notification doesn't contain the actual text of the message. Instead, it has a link that takes the student directly back to the conversation thread where they can read and respond.
